The chairman of the steering and organizing committee
of the 2nd Mediterranean Congress of Neurology
Chris Messis welcomes all the members and other participants.
He thanks Jun Kimura, WFN president, for his presence and
support to the Society.

The chairman reports on all the activities of the
steering committee as decided during the General Assembly of
the participants of the 1st Mediterranean Congress
of Neurology that took place in Limassol, Cyprus on 27 April
2002. He mentions the problems created due to the cancellation
of the 2nd Mediterranean Congress that was decided
to take place in Tunisia in 2003. As a result the majority of
the steering committee members expressed the opinion that
under the circumstances it should take place one more time in
Cyprus before moving to another country.

After extensive discussion the Constitution of the
Mediterranean Neurological Society was approved unanimously. (
